		<description>Thanks for the coverage of this very important issue.  Clearly marijuana has medical value, and, like any drug, carries some acceptable risk.  Unfortunately, the federal government classifies marijuana as a Schedule I substance, indicating NO medical value and a HIGH potential for abuse (no pun intended!).   
 
HR2835, the Medical Marijuana Patient Protection Act, legislation authored by Rep. Barney Frank, seeks to reschedule marijuana in accordance with federal law and the available scientific data.  Please contact your Member of Congress and tell them to support the bill today!</description>
