AVERT is a U.K.-based international charity for the prevention of HIV/AIDS. Its Community Programme supports and builds partnerships with local organizations to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS, improve treatment, and provide support and care in southern Africa. AVERT’s Information and Advocacy Service campaigns for improved responses on issues, such as preventing children being born with HIV.
