The Straight & Positive support group meets every Wednesday from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS. The group is a peer-led support group for heterosexual men and women with HIV/AIDS.
August 04 (Tucson, AZ) – Poz Breakfast At Mother Hubbard’s Restaurant
The Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network offers a free breakfast at Mother Hubbard’s restaurant every Wednesday morning to people with HIV.
August 4 (Stamford, CT) – Positive Attitudes
Positive Attitudes is an HIV-positive support group that meets every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to discuss issues of importance that will lead to \\\”positive attitudes.\\\” The group meets at A Positive Alternative Center that offers alternative therapies like reiki, massage, and reflexology. Participants may take advantage of all services.
August 4 (Chicago, IL) – Substance Abuse Support Group
The Substance Abuse support group is a peer-led support group for HIV-positive people struggling with substance abuse. The group meets every Wednesday from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
August 6 (Des Moines, IA) – Red Reigns! 7th Annual Red Party
This event benefits the AIDS Project of Central Iowa. Suggested admission is $15 and this includes one drink ticket. There will be food and beverages from local restaurants and wineries. Prizes and free gift bags will be awarded to the first 50 guests. The event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
August 06 (Phoenix, AZ) – Newly Diagnosed Or New To Care Support Group
The Newly Diagnosed or New to Care support group meets every Friday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS. Topics include how to talk to your doctor and family/friends, managing side effects, and healthy lifestyles.
