The Newly Diagnosed or New to Care support group meets every Friday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS. Topics include how to talk to your doctor and family/friends, managing side effects, and healthy lifestyles.
September 3 (Los Angeles, CA) – Meet And Greet Men’s Group
Being Alive hosts a social group for HIV-positive men every Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The group meets at 2530 Hyperion Avenue, Silverlake. Emphasis is on long-term care and the group discusses current issues and solutions with the opportunity to meet others in the community.
September 4 (Los Angeles, CA) – Poz4PozLA Hike
Poz4PozLA runs hikes for HIV-positive people every Saturday and Sunday morning from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. After hiking, participants go to breakfast together.
September 4 (San Diego, CA) – POZabilities Morning Coffee Social Group
San Diego POZabilities holds social gatherings for HIV-positive men on Wednesdays and Saturdays at Filter Coffee House, 4096 30th Street at 10 a.m.
