February 24 (Montgomery, AL) – Media Day
AIDS Alabama will host this reception to raise awareness about the necessary funding required to continue HIV care and prevention in the state. HIV-positive individuals will be able to meet with their state representatives to advocate for critical funding for Alabama’s HIV/AIDS infrastructure and care systems. Media representatives are welcomed and encouraged to attend. The event will take place at the RSA Plaza Terrace at 11 a.m.

Feb 23 (St. Croix, FL) – STD/HIV Conference
The conference will hold two sessions, both morning, beginning at 9 am, and afternoon, beginning at 1 pm. In the morning session, there are two possible options: Track 1, which is HIV and primary care, targeted at health practitioners , and Track 2, Adolescents and Counseling. February 12 (Los Angeles, CA) – Monthly AIDS Institute Grand Rounds Lecture
This UCLA lecture series aims to highlight recent research developments on the topic of HIV/AIDS and to interest, educate, and engage attendees. Each hour-long lunchtime lecture will report on new findings and new funding opportunities. This month will feature Shannon L. Hader, director of HIV/AIDS Administration in the DC Department of Health.

The conference is held by Keystone Symposia and will be focusing on recent advances in the understanding of HIV/AIDS, such transmission, treatments for infected individuals, and interventions to prevent viral transmission.
