Early Antiretroviral Treatment Reduces Latent HIV And Viral Load Setpoints, But Only Temporarily

Results from a recent small Swiss study suggest that immediate antiretroviral treatment can help reduce the size of latent HIV reservoirs and the viral load setpoint, the point at which the amount of HIV in the blood naturally levels off. However, the researchers also found that the reductions were negligible after three years.

People With HIV Are At Increased Risk Of Six Cancers – Results from a recent study indicate that people with HIV are at an increased risk of developing Kaposi’s sarcoma, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Hodgkin’s lymphoma, melanoma, anal cancer, and liver cancer compared to people without HIV.
